Drums recorded, written, taught and tuned. Remote for anyone anywhere, in person around Vancouver. Twenty years behind the kit, most of it punk and hardcore.

What each one involves

Remote drum recording

Send me the song and you get real drums back. A demo, a voice memo, a programmed sketch β€” doesn't matter what state it's in.

I play it on an acoustic kit and arrange it to serve the song, which mostly means not filling every bar just because I can. You get separate stems, not a bounced stereo file, so whoever's mixing has something to work with. Revisions come with it.

Custom drum tracks

No song yet? Give me a tempo and a rough idea and I'll build the groove. Handy for producers, for working out an arrangement before you commit to it, and for anyone tired of sample libraries almost sounding human.

Arranging and composing drum parts

You've got guitars and vocals and no idea what the drums should be doing. That's this. Where the fills land, where the kit drops out, and what the chorus needs to actually lift.

Online drum lessons

One to one over video, anywhere. We work on whatever you're actually stuck on instead of a fixed curriculum β€” grip and timing if that's what's in the way, or one specific song pulled apart bar by bar if that's why you came.

Beginners welcome. So are people who've played for years and want the punk side specifically: speed, endurance, d-beat, and how to play fast without falling apart by the third song.

Drum gear consultation

Ask me before you spend the money. What's worth it, what's marketing, and what you already own that just needs tuning instead of replacing.

In-person drum lessons

Same thing, same room β€” Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. Some problems take five minutes to fix when I can see your grip and hear the kit in the air instead of through a laptop mic.

Live drum setup and tuning

A kit that sounds wrong on stage is usually a kit nobody tuned. I'll sort setup, tuning and heads before doors β€” for a show, a session, or a rehearsal room that's been quietly getting worse for a year.

Live sound support

Getting your drums to survive the trip from the stage to the room. Mic placement, gating, what to ask for in your monitors and what to stop asking for.

Getting started

Tell me what the song is, or what you're stuck on, and I'll tell you straight whether I'm the right person for it and what it'd cost. No eleven-field form.

A DM on Instagram is fastest. I'm in Vancouver, BC β€” remote work goes anywhere.
