Bound By None · 185 BPM · 2:35
On The Double runs at 185 BPM for 2:35, and the chart has 1923 notes in it — about 4.0 to a beat, which is close to constant. The hi-hat lane is the busiest with 1082 of them, so that is the hand to sort out first. The tempo leaves enough room to read the patterns coming. Hi-hat on A, snare on S, kick on space, or three pads on a touchscreen.
The busiest stretch is around 2:04 — 150 notes in ten seconds, against 124 for the song as a whole. There is no real let-up in it: the biggest gap anywhere is 1.0 seconds.
Bound By None are a Vancouver punk band. Miki plays drums on the recordings these charts come from, so what comes down the lanes is his own playing rather than a transcription of it.
